Job Summary

The Grants Manager is responsible for the comprehensive management, compliance, and reporting of grant-funded programs. This role plays a critical part in sustaining and growing the agency's funding base by ensuring programmatic integrity, accurate fiscal tracking, and timely reporting of grants.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all Ryan White Part B grant activities.
  • Ensure funded services are delivered in accordance with HRSA guidelines, federal regulations, and grant award terms and conditions.
  • Prepare and submit all required reports, including performance measure data and annual reports.
  • Monitor expenditures to ensure fiscal compliance and timely reimbursement request submission.
  • Maintain a grants calendar reflecting deadlines, reporting periods, and renewal timelines.
  • Ensure programmatic compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Collect, analyze, and report program data in alignment with funder performance measures.
  • Assist in identifying new grant funding opportunities and contribute to grant application development.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Public Health, Nonprofit Management, or related field required.
  • Minimum one (1) year of experience in grants management or program compliance. Prior experience with government-funded programs strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of federal grant regulations, including Uniform Guidance (2 CFR Part 200).
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Working Conditions

In-person, office-based position in Columbus, MS with standard business hours. Periodic travel may be required for funder meetings, conferences, or site visits.

Job Summary

The Outreach Specialist is responsible for conducting general prevention outreach to promote sexual health, reduce stigma, and improve engagement among populations in need, including targeted HIV outreach, education, and linkage activities in accordance with Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct targeted HIV outreach in priority communities consistent with Ryan White Part B guidelines.
  • Identify and engage populations at increased risk for HIV or those who are out of care or newly diagnosed.
  • Deliver community-based HIV prevention education including information on PrEP, PEP, condom use, and routine testing.
  • Facilitate referrals and warm handoffs to medical and supportive services as appropriate.
  • Accurately document activities, encounters, and referrals in required systems.
  • Represent Afya at community events, health fairs, and coalition meetings.
  • Maintain positive working relationships with community partners, healthcare providers, and local organizations.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Knowledge of HIV prevention, testing, and care concepts, or willingness to obtain training.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and engagement skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends as needed.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Working Conditions

Frequent community-based work in non-traditional settings. Travel within the service area is required. Work schedule may vary based on outreach events and community needs.
